Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier surged into the Yonex French Open semi-finals today (Friday) with a straight-games win over Indonesian fourth seeds - and reigning Yonex All England Open champions - Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsi
Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier [Sco] defeated Robert Blair and Vita Marissa to reach the quarter-finals of the Yonex French Open in Paris this afternoon but Adcock's hopes of reaching the last eight in the men's doubles with Andrew Ellis were later dashed.
Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier scored their first win together since before London 2012 when they eased into the second round at the Yonex French Open in Paris today and now face former doubles partner Robert Blair tomorrow. Adcock also reached the men's double second round with Andrew Ellis.
Heather Olver and Kate Robertshaw (pictured) claimed a second women's doubles title of the season at the Swiss International yesterday. England's Toby Penty in the singles and doubles pairs Chris Coles and Matthew Nottingham and Ben Stawski and Alyssa Lim finished runners-up in their events.
Chris Adcock and Imogen Bankier got back to winning ways this morning in Paris with a comfortable Round 1 win but Marcus Ellis and Gabby White suffered defeat in their opening match at the Yonex French Open.
England's Chris Langridge and Peter Mills (pictured) went down fighting at the Yonex Denmark Open tonight as English interest came to an end in Odense.
