Over the course of the 28th and 29th of August, the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes plays host to the inaugural UK Dwarf Badminton Open.
Wednesday 11th August saw the first Premier League 4 Sport (PL4S) “Kicking Up a Racket” badminton session take place at St Aidan’s Junior Badminton Club, Sunderland.
Badminton picked out as a popular sport of choice by school kids as Sports Unlimited 10-week ‘taster’ courses get half a million youngsters active outside of the school walls.
The World Juniors England team arrived in Alor Star (Malaysia) on Monday 19th October for the start of the Championships on the 23rd October.
At their recent Annual General Meeting, Otley’s press and publicity officers Steve Norfolk, Dave Clegg and Tom Field decided something had to be done about Otley’s badminton member figures.
The European Universities Sports Association Badminton Championships was held in Geneva on 19-25th June this year and the Loughborough team were there representing Great Britain.
