BADMINTON England's new volunteers portal attracts over 300 signs ups in just 10 days after launching with a full range of opportunities including volunteering roles at the London Grand Prix Gold on the Olympic Park
Buckinghamshire wrestled the Harrod UK U17 County Challenge crown back out of Yorkshire’s stranglehold as the prestigious annual team event was played out in a cauldron of noise and badminton banter at Nottingham University.
Yorkshire took the honours at the 17-21 County Challenge last weekend after securing straight wins to retain the Keith Stables Memorial Trophy for another year whilst Staffordshire finished as runners-up with Suffolk in third .
After seeing more then 30,700 school pupils pick up a racket and compete in the Center Parcs National Schools Badminton Championships, 36 school teams head to Center Parcs Sherwood Forest later this month for the Finals Weekend.
Yorkshire claimed the County Championships badminton Premiership crown for the 12th time in 14 years, wrestling back the coveted title from Surrey, whilst Cheshire finished as runners up and Warwickshire ran in 3rd.
The U13 English National Age Group Badminton Championships in Nottingham saw Molly Chapman, Harry Huang (pictured) Zach Russ, Rory Easton, Grace King and Keya Patani deserve their places on the 2013 roll call of national title winners.
