Center Parcs – supported Team England badminton star Lauren Smith was named Cumbria Sports Personality of the Year at the weekend but admitted it was “a surprise” to find out she had made the shortlist.

Team England U17 star Alex Lane became European champion at Mens Singles over the weekend, capping an impressive tournament for the U17 squad, with 2 silver medals also added to the haul.

On a Bank Holiday weekend awash with a welcome sense of national pride, Center Parcs- supported Team England gave plenty of extra reason to cheer at the Under 15 Home Nations Quadrangular tournament in Milton Keynes 

The Center Parcs sponsored England U19 Team began the European Championships well in Milan getting through to the semi-finals late on Monday afternoon.

As the clock ticks towards London 2012, athletes’ preparation and training is paramount in developing the best foundations for success on the world’s biggest sporting stage.

England's Under 19 players achieved first place in the Team Event at the recent U19 Northumberland International Open, held on the 21st November.  The team, made up of Under 17 players, returned home victorious having defeated Wales, Scotland and Sweden.
