Walbottle Village Primary School became the first Newcastle Bisi Festival Champions at Benfield Sports College at the end of the Summer term.

Highlights from the National Schools Championships that took place over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of April. 

In May 2008 twelve Primary schools were contacted and invited to attend a two hour session of badminton coaching in the Church High School sports hall.  The sessions were aimed at year 5 pupils in nine schools and year 4 pupils in 3 schools.
