In September 2009, Bolton Wanderers Community Trust took the Premier League 4 Sport (PL4S) initiative to local secondary school Essa Academy, Great Lever, to try and promote and increase participation in Badminton.
Aston Villa, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion Premier League 4 Sport badminton clubs recently came together in a regional finals event at Nechells Leisure Centre in Birmingham, on Tuesday 8th March 2011.
February half term Manchester City’s PL4S programme joined up with the Club’s One City disability programme to create opportunities for young disabled people in Manchester.
Saturday 15th January saw Newcastle United Foundation play host to Sunderland Foundation in a badminton festival that took place at The Parks Leisure Centre, earlier in the season Sunderland had hosted Newcastle United in a similar event that proved to be a huge success.
September 2010 saw the recruitment of Staffordshire County Player and Potteries Performance Centre Coach Erika Whittingham onto the coaching team for the PL4S programme.
