National Schools Championships

Bring your class to the court!

The National Schools Championships are our largest youth badminton initiative, attracting entry from over 6,400 school badminton teams, featuring over 35,000 players each year.

Free for every secondary, middle and independent school in England to enter, the Championships are made up of four rounds of competitive badminton team match-play in different age categories and split by gender:

Years 7,8, & 9 Boys        Years 7,8, & 9 Girls        Years 10 & 11 Boys        Years 10 & 11 Girls

With 1 in every 3 secondary and middle schools represented on court, the National Schools Championships are now amongst the largest school sport tournaments in Europe.

The Championships culminate in a National Finals Weekend, hosted at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes, where national champions are crowned from 36 team finalists.
