Club committees, volunteers & coaches

All successful clubs rely on great volunteers to run them. It’s never been more important to ensure they are valued, supported and recognised so clubs are sustainable and Badminton can continue across the country.

Clubs should place importance on recruiting the right volunteers with the appropriate skill set for their role to support the clubs running.

Our Volunteer Toolkit has template Role Descriptions, Recruitment Poster Templates, Expression of Interest forms, and Induction Checklists for you to use.

Volunteers give up plenty of time and should be well supported.

Our National Volunteer Conference workshops are available online, which provides some training in popular areas requested by our clubs and volunteers.

Recognition can be informal or formal. Badminton England run the Yonex Volunteer of the Year, and Young Volunteer of the Year awards which is one formal way to recognise any local outstanding volunteers you know. For more information, please see the Badminton England Volunteer Awards information below.

Our Volunteering Toolkit offers thank-you postcards for club use, which are a quick and easy way to recognise individuals who have done a great job.
